1. Sun City – Sun City, AZ
We relocated to Sun City about three years ago from Denver. To my mind, there is no better place to spend your golden years than this valley. It’s spacious enough that you won’t feel like you’re constantly on display, and it’s filled with convenient conveniences. All the facilities are always in excellent condition, and new clubs are often founded to cater to modern interests. Although I’m not a golfer, I do appreciate the visual value of the local courses when I’m out on a bike ride. While it’s not a gated neighborhood, residents report feeling extremely secure there.
2. Oak Run – Ocala, FL
Two years ago, my husband and I bought a house in Oak Run. Our satisfaction with this purchase is beyond words. We’ve made some amazing new friends and taken full advantage of the club’s superb facilities, including the stunning 18-hole country club golf course. For many years to come, we pray.
3. Stone Creek, Ocala, FL
It’s been five years since we first moved in… Indoor and outdoor events are always planned at the reunion center. It’s convenient to ride golf carts to all the different events. Advantages include a full-service bar and grill, as well as a world-class golf course. Stone Creek is the place to go if you’re in the market for a tiny, peaceful town.
4. Del Webb Ponte Vedra – Ponte Vedra, FL
My wife and I moved into this Del Webb neighborhood and haven’t looked back since. There are many things to do in the town and in the surrounding areas of Jacksonville and St. Augustine, and the environment is gorgeous and the amenities are first-rate. The community center’s well-equipped gym is a favorite among its many perks, which also include an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a conference room, a theater, and a performance stage. Although we do not own a golf cart, many other homeowners do, and we appreciate the 24-hour security provided by the community’s gate attendant.
5. Tellico Village – Loudon, TN
My wife and I have been residents of [Tellico] Village for close to a decade, and we have thoroughly enjoyed the neighborhood and everything it has to offer. More than a half-dozen restaurants may be found either within the neighborhood or nearby, in addition to two banks, a supermarket, a hardware store, a pharmacy, a petrol station, three hair salons, and a yacht club. There are three championship golf courses, two outdoor pools, three tennis complexes, three marinas, a medical center, a pickleball facility, and more in The Village. Beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains may be seen from Tellico Village, which is located on the beaches of the 16,000-acre Tellico Lake.
6. Sun City West – Sun City West, AZ
We relocated here from Wisconsin and have been having a blast! It’s a great place to visit since everyone is nice and there’s much to do. Some examples might include walking, swimming, and riding a bike. There are more than a hundred different clubs to explore.
7. Sun City Festival – Buckeye, AZ
Before settling on Sun City Festival, we researched all of Phoenix’s other active adult communities. We chose to live in Festival because of Del Webb’s convenient location, the quality of its facilities, and the affordability of its maintenance fees and energy savings. But the residents are what give this place its special character. You won’t find a kinder neighborhood anywhere else, in my opinion.
8. Holiday City at Berkeley – Toms River, NJ
The housing market is quite affordable. The clubhouses are hubs of activity, with regular events and holiday celebrations. You can get anything you need along Route 70.
9. Lakeside Crossing – Conway, SC
Absolutely no regrets. I’ve been a resident of this country for almost two years now. This should be the last house you ever have to shop for. Affordable, well-designed, and fully equipped. There is absolutely no excuse to be bored here. The monthly HOA dues cover everything from garbage and lawn care to a full-time activities director and property leasing payments. It’s a great area populated with kind, helpful, and pleasant individuals. What a wonderful spot to spend your golden years.
10. Laguna Woods Village – Laguna Woods, CA
Laguna Woods has a fantastic setting. It’s in close proximity to the beautiful resort town of Laguna Beach. Excellent dining options are easily accessible. All three of the nine-hole courses and the short course are excellent.
11. Province – Maricopa, AZ
Province is like finding an oasis in the middle of nothing. From the time I pulled into the driveway and saw the front gates, I was blown away. Never before have I seen a neighborhood with so many beautiful features, such as lakes and open areas. There’s a vacation vibe to the community center. Every day is like a vacation to me. Maricopa has a great sense of community and I really enjoy living there. To pick up my friends and family from Sky Harbor Airport, it’s a quick and easy journey.
Sun City Huntley – Huntley, IL
The best choice we ever made; we feel like we were constantly on vacation. We appreciate the variety of activities available in our large community, which includes golf, softball, bocce, bags, pickleball, tennis, concerts, plays, day trips, an indoor pool, two outdoor pools, two fitness centers with many classes, indoor walking track, a massage spa, a golf cart community, holiday parties, dances, cards, and much more.
