Jordi Alba Gets Hero's Welcome From Inter Miami Fans

New player for Inter Miami CF Herons fans cheered loudly and warmly for Jordi Alba as he made his start in the club's 3-1 Leagues Cup Round-of-32 win over Orlando City SC on Wednesday night.

Along with Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, the Spanish international is the third big name from FC Barcelona to join the team during the MLS Secondary Transfer Window.

Before the game started, club owners Jorge and José Mas and David Beckham met him in the middle of the field.

As promised and as delivered, I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of Inter Miami's team, Jordi Alba.

This is the first time he's going to step on this pitch," Jorge Mas said before turning the spotlight on the star left back.

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for being so nice to me since I got here," Alba said in Spanish to fans who had to wait nearly two hours for the game to start because of bad weather.
