Seven Former Dukes In Nfl Training Camps

HARRISONBURG, Virginia -- Seven former James Madison football players are now in NFL training camps, fighting for spots on their teams' rosters for the 2023 season.

Six of the players have played professionally before, and one of them is a newcomer.

Returning NFL Dukes include quarterback Ben DiNucci of the Denver Broncos, defensive lineman Mike Greene of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Safety Dean Marlowe of the Buffalo Bills, cornerback Jimmy Moreland of the New York Jets, offensive lineman Aaron Stinnie of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and offensive lineman Josh Wells of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Jordan Swann, a safety for the Baltimore Ravens and a senior in 2022, is the only rookie for JMU.

Wells is JMU's most experienced player in the league. He is going into his 10th season with the same team in 2023. Marlowe is in his ninth season in the NFL, and he has spent most of that time in Buffalo.

Moreland is starting his fifth season in the NFL and his first in New York. DiNucci is starting his fourth season in the NFL after playing for Seattle in the XFL this spring.

Down in Tampa, Stinnie is in his sixth season in the NFL and his fifth with the Bucs.

He came back from an injury last year. Greene is back for his second NFL season. In 2022, he was both on the practice squad and the main team.

Justin Rascati, who used to be the quarterback at James Madison University, is now an assistant offensive line coach for the Minnesota Vikings.
